The Game
Overview
Set in a lore-rich high-fantasy realm where the balance between light and shadow can be tipped at any moment, this world is not static—it breathes, changes, and remembers. At the heart of the experience is a living war between the forces of good and evil—an ever-shifting conflict that dynamically reshapes the world based on player, ally and enemy actions.
You begin as a member of one of several prominent civilizations composed of Humans, Elves and Dwarves, each with multiple sub-races, different factions and deep cultural roots and history. Your character’s origin—shaped by race, traits, and backstory—determines where you begin, who welcomes you, and which paths lie open. While these societies may clash among themselves over land, resources, faith or politics, they ultimately stand united against a common threat: the encroaching darkness.
From blighted forests overrun by giant spiders to once-bustling settlements sacked and transformed into orcish strongholds, the forces of evil are not just enemies—they are an occupying power. Their advances are persistent, visible, and impactful. Regions can fall, towns can be lost, cities can be turned into ruins. Only through coordinated effort can the light push back. This is not a war fought in isolation—it is a shared struggle that all players are drawn into; whether they choose to lead the charges at the forefront of battles, support the war effort through economic means, or forge a path in the shadows via subterfuge and guerilla tactics.
This is more than a backdrop—it’s a world that responds and evolves.
Core Systems That Define the Experience
Emergent Classes & Affiliations – Discover Your Character
There are no fixed classes at creation. Instead, your role—tank, healer, spellblade, shadow assassin, holy defender—emerges from your choices: how you build your character, where you make your home, which groups accept you, and what skills you master. Training comes through various factions, guilds, orders, societies and organizations, each accepting or barring entry based on race, reputation, ability, and loyalties. You can dabble in many arts—but true mastery will demand focus on only a select few.
Vision & Awareness – A World You Truly Inhabit
Forget omniscient cameras. Our dynamic vision system mimics real human peripheral sight, giving you a natural cone of vision just like in real life. Characters and creatures outside your visual range—behind you, in blind spots, or obscured by objects or terrain—remain hidden until they enter into your character’s line of sight. Stealth is still a character skill, but it doesn’t just grant arbitrary invisibility. Being stealthy will require a combination of your character’s skill and your control of them; using cover, positioning and the environment to move unseen, initiate ambushes, and avoid detection. You won’t see everything, and neither will your enemies. This creates tension, realism, and meaningful tactical depth in both PvE and PvP.
Combat & Magic – Responsive, Strategic, Accessible
Combat blends fluid auto-resolution with active player input, emphasizing positioning, timing, and ability selection over twitch reflexes or low-ping dependency. Dodge attacks, flank enemies, interrupt spells, and trigger powerful synergies—but you aren’t punished for not being the fastest clicker. Magic offers diverse depth and variety for any playstyle, from a direct damage elemental mage hurling lightning bolts in the front lines to a subtle controller needing to stay out of sight while they recite a long incantation without interruption. The result is a dynamic, engaging combat and magic system that rewards awareness and strategy, not just reaction speed. A character’s power is not determined by their ‘level’, but by a combination of their skills and experience with your overarching control and decisions.
World Population & Seamless Instancing – Immersion Without Isolation
The world feels alive—appropriately. Remote forests, ancient ruins, and wild frontiers feel isolated and dangerous, with few other players in sight. Bustling cities, war zones, and economic hubs teem with activity. An adaptive population system uses intelligent, seamless instancing to preserve immersion while preventing overcrowding. We want to allow players to solo in relative solitude or instantly join friends, form parties, and move between shared and personal spaces—without loading screens or jarring transitions.
Rebirth – Legacy, Progression, & New Beginnings
When your character reaches the pinnacle of their journey, they may choose to be reborn—a transformative undertaking that honors their legacy while unlocking new potential. Upon rebirth, you earn additional resources and options to invest in a new character’s creation: enhanced stats, access to advanced races and sub-races, rare starting traits, and deeper backstory options. Your past life’s deeds echo into the future, enabling greater power and broader possibilities. Rebirth isn’t an end—it’s one of many new beginnings.
Offline Character Development — Redeeming Time, Preserving Immersion
Your character doesn’t just ‘disappear’ from the world when you log off. They remain a part of the game; working, practicing, developing… The bulk of ‘grinding’ in our game is done offline, rather than using up the player’s time. Your character hones their combat skills, works at a profession, or studies the mystical arts when they are not adventuring. You can choose how they spend their time, and offline training is a core mechanic in character progression; offering players balance and moderation in their sessions and allowing them to enjoy their game time without needing to waste it on mundane tasks.
Engaging NPCs, MoBs & Factions — Bringing A New Experience
Mobs that make different and more intelligent choices instead of just following static scripts, NPC merchants that adjust their pricing based on circumstances such as scarcity and competition, factions that plan and execute offensives dynamically…
Simplex Resource, Gathering & Crafting Systems — Powering An Engaging & Immersive Economy
An economic model based on supply and demand that shifts with the changing war and faction control of resources, supply routes and areas. Crafting and Gathering professions that focus on adventure and engagement rather than a grind. Resources that are region based, meaningfully valuable and impact the world and the conflict based on what faction controls them.
Game, Quest and Dungeon Master Agents — Endless, Unique & Compelling Adventures
Game Masters: manipulating the War, Economy, Factions, World Events, etc. Quest masters creating dynamic and unique quests based on events happening (supply shortages, invasions, faction wars, etc.). Dungeon masters adjusting dungeons; populating traps, mobs, treasures and quests, and guiding player’s through with engaging narrative and lore flavor…
Toolsets & Content Creation Systems — Community Driven Content
Accessible and intuitive toolsets combined with a peer-review, improvement and recommendation system drive content creation by the creative community that plays the game. The goal is not full user-generated autonomy, but rather structured co-development where players have the potential to contribute polished, functional content that feels native to the world.

The World
Venture into a vibrant world shaped by deep and extensive legacy, where exploration, conflict, and ecology intertwine. From the ruins of fallen realms and lightless dungeons to sprawling cities and lofty mountain wildernesses, each presents unique challenges—and rewards. Learn to master variables such as scorching heat, bitter cold, noxious gasses, elevation, weather systems, and more…
These are not static backdrops, but dynamic collections of environments, locations, and settlements, organized into regions and zones that shift and evolve in response to unfolding events.
Nations & Races
Many nations have risen and fallen through the ages, the cultures of those which have managed to endure has been forged by geography, history, ideology, and the unending crucible of conflict and survival. Though the free and civilized peoples sometimes fight amongst themselves, they are invariably drawn together against the encroaching darkness that threatens all equally.
Beyond them, untamed lands teem with all manner of beings—some gentle, some savage, and some in-between—adding depth, risk, and adventure to a world defined by diversity and adventure.
History, Legend & The Eternal War
The war between light and darkness has existed since the world was formed ages ago, and actively continues to shape it. From the coordinated and organized forces of undead, demons, and orcs, to the mindless, creeping arach infestations, to the seemingly random incursions of dragons claiming new territory, all press against the good and civilized races—each with their own dark ambitions.
Nations rise, fall, and rebuild; heroes emerge and fade. Though not always visible, the conflict never ceases, its ebb and flow altering the fate of every being that dwells in the lands.
Player Characters
Each character’s journey begins through a series of meaningful choices and selections—race, stats, backstory, and traits—that shape their origin, define their present, and guide their future toward a place in the world. Unbound by fixed classes, roles emerge through action, affiliation, and skills.
A character’s endeavors will earn them renown, titles, and leave lasting marks in the cultures and history books of those they impact most. At their peak, they may choose rebirth—closing one chapter to begin another, carrying past legacy into new potential.
Battlegrounds, Incursions & Campaigns
Battlegrounds, Incursions, and Campaigns are the expression of active wars, providing focused conflict with clear objectives and tangible outcomes. These engagements are not isolated activities—victory or failure influence control, faction strength, availability, and future events.
From contained, tactical engagements to large-scale, multi-stage military efforts, these systems allow players to participate in and influence the ongoing wars and conflicts in numerous ways, while remaining firmly grounded in the evolving state of the world.
Statistics
Every being’s capabilities are governed by a common set of core attributes—Strength, Agility, Dexterity, Constitution, Wisdom, Intelligence, Spirit, Charisma, Perception and Luck—that directly affect nearly every interaction in the game world: skills, combat, survival, social, and more.
Stat growth is slow and deliberate, avoiding the typical ballooning that dilutes meaning in most MMORPG games. Each point carries tangible weight—supporting depth without penalizing creative builds, and requiring careful consideration for making choices that change stats.
Quests & Events
Quests are not just static tasks, but context-driven responses to the state of the world. From authored story arcs to procedural assignments, objectives emerge from shifting war fronts, NPC and faction needs, resource shortages, and player action. Quest master and game master systems actively generate and adapt content to ensure depth and variety across each player’s journey.
Dynamic events occur at world, Regional, and local Zone scales—triggered by invasions, supply disruptions, and conflicts—the outcomes altering control, availability, and influencing future events.
Skills & Progression
Skills are earned through training and experience—not granted by default. Learn from diverse mentors, each shaped by culture, conflict, and creed, and advance through expansive skill paths that unlock passive, active, reactive, and opportunistic abilities.
When not adventuring, your character remains active in the world through the offline progression system: honing abilities, working professions, serving in civic roles, or studying at academies—all contributing to skill advancement, reputation development and resource gain.
Dungeons, Raids & The Beneath
Dungeons and Raids are instanced challenges for coordinated groups of varying sizes, typically set to fixed locations within the world and requiring preparation, communication, and adaptability to overcome the foes, environments, and other trials within.
The Beneath is a vast subterranean expanse lying under the surface world, accessed through scattered entrances bound to ruins, settlements, and ancient sites. Unlike the more persistent dungeon and raid encounters, each descent into The Beneath is a unique expedition into unknown, hostile depths.
Damage, Resistance & Effects
Damage, resistance, and effects are built around interaction—not increasingly higher numbers that progress into meaninglessness. Distinct damage types combined with resistances, equipment, skills, weapons and items all provide real strengths and weaknesses to players, NPCs and mobs alike.
Power grows through severity tiers, specialization, and capability to exploit weaknesses rather than stat scaling or having the ‘highest level’ of equipment. Preparation, adaptation, and managing effects determine survival far more than raw health or base damage values.
Arenas & PvP
Arenas and PvP encompass the game’s competitive player-versus-player experiences, ranging from tightly controlled, rule-driven encounters to open, world-integrated conflict. These systems allow players to test skill, adaptability, and coordination under varying degrees of structure and risk.
Whether through the more balanced arena matches designed for competitive integrity, or PvP engagements that emerge naturally from territorial disputes, exploration of ungoverned depths or factional wars, player conflict is an optional, but meaningful and rewarding layer of the world.
Combat, Magic & Stealth
Combat is not determined by click-speed, latency, gear, or levels, but by skill, awareness, and preparation. Positioning, terrain, training, and tactics shape every encounter. Master powerful and versatile magics, strike from the shadows using grounded stealth mechanics, and fight across PvE and PvP battlefields where strategy and teamwork dictate victory.
Newer characters can meaningfully contribute alongside veterans without grinding to relevance—though less versatile, they remain impactful and useful in any party or conflict.
NPCs & Companions
NPCs aren’t quest dispensers or static vendors—they have lives, routines, and memories. They react to war, flee invasions, and adapt to a changing world. Build repertoires with NPCs, companions and hirelings, earn the loyalty—or disdain of trade partners and establish powerful social bonds.
Your ties and alliances open some doors while closing others—creating allies in one town or guild and hostility in another. You cannot please everyone, and the relationships you choose to cultivate will define how the world responds to you.
Gathering, Crafting & Resources
Every aspect of crafting and gathering is designed to be meaningful and engaging, removing the repetitive grind traditionally tied to professions. Discover and harvest raw resources in dangerous landscapes and environments, then refine, process, or treat them, producing valuable materials.
Craft weapons, armor, consumables, and more using recipes taught, found, or learned throughout the world, and experiment with different compositions to create unique results. Salvage materials from obsolete items, and enhance, modify, or upgrade in numerous ways, providing endless customization.
Mobs & Enemies
Enemies are not static spawns or scripted obstacles, but a responsive and adaptive force within the world. Warbands seize territory, creatures migrate or mutate as corruption spreads, and elite leaders coordinate offensives. Spawning, movement, and behavior are fluid and context-aware, ensuring danger and threat emerge naturally.
Left unchecked, hostile forces entrench themselves—fortifying positions, expanding their influence, disrupting travel and trade, and escalating their tactics over time.
Equipment, Items & Inventory
Discover a deep and varied equipment and itemization framework where each object can be unique. Materials, quality, tier, durability, and weight affect performance and attributes. Most can be modified, enhanced, or upgraded by NPC and/or player craftsmen, creating a truly diverse ecosystem.
A sheath and slot system limits what can be readily accessed in combat, requiring players to prepare carefully before battle. Switching weapons or equipping items mid-fight is intentionally impractical, making loadout decisions meaningful and situational.
Economy & Travel
The economy is both player and system driven, with supply and demand influenced by war, regional control, scarcity, and trade routes. Secure resources, manage transport logistics, and trade through NPC vendors, factions, local markets, or auction houses—each with distinct risks and advantages.
Travel spans mounts, ferries, ships, portals, and other methods, undertaken alone or in groups. Move lightly with only what you can carry, or lead caravans of goods along established routes for safety, or risk faster, more dangerous paths where loss—and reward—are both higher.
Guilds & Factions
Guilds and factions are not isolated entities, but integrated parts of the game world. They are shaped by region, groups they align with, and choices of their leaders and members. A guild’s standing with local populations and organizations directly affects a myriad of access and opportunities.
Active leadership drives progress—forming alliances, expanding, and earning influence—while absent leadership leads to stagnation and loss of favor. Rivalries emerge naturally, and national or local allegiances can pull guilds into civil wars, territorial disputes, and large-scale conflicts.
Housing, Storage & Outfits
Build and customize expandable dwellings using a flexible construction system where resource and material costs scale with complexity. Create anything from a remote forest cabin to a large fortress-estate. Furnish interiors with decorative and practical elements—furniture, trophies, storage, training tools, and crafting stations such as anvils, tanning racks, and herbalist centers.
Define a character’s appearance through wardrobe slots and vanity items, independent of equipped gear. Secure equipment, supplies and belongings in all manner of vaults and containers.
Toolsets, Content Creation & Community
Supporting and integrating player-created content is a foundational part of our game. Accessible toolsets and editors will allow players to create models, animations, quests, dungeons, locations, events, mobs, and more, which can be peer reviewed, refined, and integrated into the game.
A layered evaluation and approval process—centered on community testing and iteration—ensures contributed content meets quality, balance and design standards and feels native to the world. All levels of creators can participate, with work integrated into the game credited and rewarded.
Monetization & Continuity
Monetization options to sustain the game may be achieved through a one-time purchase model with optional additional expansion pack releases, monthly subscriptions, and/or via cosmetic, vanity and convenience items (no pay-to-win options).
Modular and cascading code frameworks, timeless art styles, inherently scalable systems, and a development roadmap shaped by community feedback, voting and involvement will ensure that the game will not only stand the test of time but evolve and improve with it.
